Former Los Angeles Lakers center DeMarcus Cousins says LeBron James is the MVP of the 2019-20 season.

When asked why he believes LeBron should win MVP during an interview with “Jalen and Jacoby,” Cousins said The King is the only player in the NBA playing at an elite level with grey hair.

Most NBA pundits believe LeBron or Milwaukee Bucks star Giannis Antetokounmpo will win the MVP trophy this season. If James wins, it will be his fifth MVP award.

Before games were suspended in March, LeBron was averaging 25.7 points, 7.9 boards and 10.6 assists for the Lakers. The three-time NBA champion was also shooting 49.8 percent from the field, 34.9 percent from beyond the arc and 69.7 percent from the free-throw line.

For the first time in his legendary career, LeBron was leading the NBA in assists per game. With fellow superstar Anthony Davis by his side, James has a great shot of winning title No. 4 once the 2020 playoffs start down at Disney World. The Lakers have the best record in the Western Conference standings.

Prior to the start of the 2020 playoffs, all 22 teams in Orlando, Florida will play eight seeding games. The Lakers will face the Los Angeles Clippers, Toronto Raptors, Utah Jazz, Oklahoma City Thunder, Houston Rockets, Indiana Pacers, Denver Nuggets and Sacramento Kings.
