With adrenaline coursing through his veins after his stellar showing at the Summer League, Los Angeles Lakers guard Josh Hart did some postgame push-ups.

In their 112-109 double-overtime victory against the Cleveland Cavaliers, Hart finished with 37 points and nine rebounds. The win pushed the Lakers to advance to tomorrow's championship game for the second year in a row and will be defending their title. Hart's 37 points set a Laker Summer League record.

The 23-year-old has been a revelation in the Summer League so far. The Lakers organization originally wanted Hart to play just one game in the tourney. However, Hart himself voiced out that he wanted to play every game as long as he can.

“I told them before I left that I wanted to play every one, and after the second one I was like ‘Yo, I’m good, I’m good to play the third one,” Hart said per the Lakers' Twitter. And after that I’ve just been rocking out. I’ve got to give Magic and RP (Rob Pelinka), and Luke some love for just letting me come out here and compete.”

The Summer League is usually reserved for the team's bench players, free agent prospects, and new additions. Last season, Hart already proved that he belongs in the NBA. But for him, he's just a kid who wants to play ball.

“I’m not too big for summer league or anything like that. I’m a kid that wants to play basketball, a kid with a lot to prove and that’s how I want to do it.”
