The Los Angeles Lakers have played their first game in Staples Center since Kobe Bryant, his daughter Gianna, and seven others lost their lives in a terrible helicopter accident on Sunday. As the tributes to Bryant continue pouring in, the Lakers followed suit to what the rest of the league has been doing.
They asked Laker Nation to stay quiet for 24.2 seconds, representing the numbers Kobe and Gianna wore when they were playing. The entire stadium went quiet in an astounding scene as they paid tribute to the Black Mamba in silence.

Both LeBron James and Anthony Davis were serious in their tribute during the ceremony. It's especially visible that James is still hurting from Kobe Bryant's death as he looked to be fighting back tears. After the buzzer horned for the end of the tribute, the entire Staples Center erupted to life.
This hasn't been the only time James and Davis have paid tribute to Kobe: they already have the Black Mamba tattooed on their legs. They will look to add to their tribute by getting the win over the Portland Trail Blazers.
