Atlanta Hawks veteran Vince Carter has been entertaining countless fans with his high-flying exploits even before LeBron James brought his aerial supremacy to the NBA in 2003.

The two stars faced off for possibly the final time, however, as the Los Angeles Lakers handed the Atlanta Hawks a 101-96 defeat at the State Farm Arena on Sunday.

Carter, 42, announced prior to the start of the 2019-20 campaign that this will indeed be his final season as a player. With that said, James came over to Carter after the final horn sounded and exchanged a hug and some pleasantries with the 21-year vet.

The Lakers and the Hawks currently traverse different paths at the moment, as LA (24-3) currently holds the best record in the league while Atlanta dropped to 6-21.

James finished with game-highs of 32 points, 14 rebounds and seven assists, while Carter had seven points and two dimes in 21 minutes of action.
