When the Los Angeles Lakers take on the Los Angeles Clippers in the 2017-18 NBA season opener, the Big Baller Brand era will officially begin. After Lonzo Ball averaged a near triple-double and received the Las Vegas Summer League Most Valuable Player award, there is plenty of excitement in Los Angeles.

With Ball playing for his hometown team, he is already focused on the other aspects of the business with his signature shoe and ‘Ball in the Family' Facebook series. According to TMZ Sports, Lakers President of Basketball Magic Johnson will not only buy his player's signature shoe but LaMelo Ball's as well:

While there have been debates about the shoe price, numerous athletes and fans are still supporting the Big Baller Brand. Instead of signing with Nike, Adidas, or Under Armour like the top rookies in all of sports, LaVar Ball has taken his sons on a different route. As a result, his youngest son will be the first high school player to have a signature shoe.

Heading into the new season, it will be interesting to see if Ball's father continues to make controversial comments now that his oldest son is in the NBA and playing for the Lakers. With two more sons looking to reach the league, Ball's vision for his family is slowly coming to fruition.
