Lance Stephenson could not be more excited for his home debut for the Indiana Pacers on Tuesday. He almost cried when the Pacers called to sign him again, and recently said he regretted ever leaving the franchise in the first place.
Now that he’s finally set to return to the team with which he saw his greatest individual success, “Born Ready” expects to the crowd’s reception to be big. How big exactly? According to Stephenson, Michael Jordan coming out of retirement big…

While likely very few things could compare to the frenzy of MJ’s comeback — though LeBron James‘ return to Cleveland was likely right up there — Indiana fans will be glad to have Stephenson back on their roster after his strong stint with the team from 2010 to 2014. Although he hasn’t played as well in any season since leaving the Pacers, if he helps push the team into a playoff spot — the Pacers currently sit in a three-way tie with the Chicago Bulls and Miami Heat for the seventh seed — then any hysteria fans provide him upon his return may just be warranted.
