It's a brand new world, as the Last Chance U basketball release date has arrived, alongside a trailer, moving the documentary Netflix show off football and into the realm of hoops.

On Wednesday, both a Twitter account with the show and Netflix retweeting it gave us the release date. Let's not word vomit all over this page and get in on this information, then move on to the trailer.

Obviously this is exciting news for those who are a fan of that show, documentaries in general and/or unpaid laborers trotting about collegiate hardwoods for our entertainment.

A ton of information isn't yet out about the show.

My brain… it has imploded with basketball goodness.

Previously, the entire series was directed toward JUCO football. Obviously, there's been a pivot to another sport, likely to increase chances of new and return viewership, as there's only so many times people can consume the same themed style documentary before wanting a new twist on the formula.

While it appears the show will be called Last Chance U Basketball, it is unknown if it will be considered a new season of the IP completely or a spin-off show of sorts (maybe leaving room for more football).

Nonetheless, we have our Last Chance U Basketball release date for Netflix. Rejoice!
