NA League of Legends organization Team SoloMid is finally on the prowl for new players. The team is reportedly finalizing a buyout deal for Evil Geniuses' star Top Laner Heo “Huni” Seung-hoon. The announcement broke out following the recent retirement of TSM's Mid Laner and captain, Søren “Bjergsen” Bjerg.

Huni first rose to prominence with a Worlds semifinals finish in 2015 with Fnatic. He immediately transferred to the NA region where he found limited success with the budding Immortals squad. He then made a triumphant return to his home region of South Korea to fight for SK Telecom T1 in 2017. SKT failed to win the title in 2017, denying Huni a Worlds crown.

He has since hopped around different teams in the NA region. His most recent stint featured a 3-month service with Evil Geniuses. Huni and EG made it to the playoffs before finishing 5-6th. During his team with EG, Huni played with fellow SKT-alumnus Bae “Bang” Jun-sik.

The Korean Top Laner is well known for unorthodox champion picks. He popularized the Top lane Lucian pick with Ignite, which saw mixed success. Should TSM push through with its acquisition, Huni will be an invaluable addition to the legendary organization. The competition among the top three squads in NA has been the fiercest this year and TSM needs all the help it can get.

Huni will replace Sergen “Broken Blade” Çelik following the completion of the deal with EG. He will have his work cut out for him as he enters a defending LCS championship squad. Regardless of any changes to the lineup, the TSM chants will continue to ring out in the LCS arena.
