League of Legends developer, Riot Games, has now confirmed previous rumors regarding Vex. She is the next playable champion coming to the game, and the 157th champion in total. According to an official Ask Riot post, she will release sometime in September. There is no specific date announced as of yet.

The same post mentions her source of power being her shadow, and that the devs are still focusing on getting it “just right” in-game. She's also a part of the Rise of the Sentinels story in-game, so players will be able to get to know her a bit earlier. Currently, The Sentinels of Light event is still ongoing, with Chapter IV having just released last July 30. The League of Legends event will last until Tuesday, August 10.
