The Master's Tournament is officially under way. It's one of the most coveted golf tournaments in the world, as each player is aiming to obtain that classy Green Jacket. Before the first initial tee-off though, the PGA had a few prominent names kick off the tournament. This year, Lee Elder joined Jack Nicklaus and Gary Player as honorary starters at the 2021 Masters.
In 1975, Lee Elder became the first black golfer to play in the Masters. He paved the way for many popular players now and is considered one of the best golfers as well. The PGA Twitter page paid homage to Elder on Wednesday night.

It was a cool moment watching Lee Elder, Gary Player, and Jack Nicklaus tee-off to officially start the Master's Tournament. Three legends of golf showing off their skills, cracking jokes, and just having a good time.

It'll be interesting to see which golfers today will be honorary starters in the future. Tiger Woods no doubt goes on that list, while Rory McIlroy would also be a solid choice as well. We'll see who else can join these two in the future, as the PGA has some talented players emerging in the modern game.
Bryson DeChambeau leads the way as the favorite to win the 2021 Masters. He'll have to fight off top-tier golfers like Justin Thomas and Jordan Spieth to win. We'll see if DeChambeau can earn his first Green Jacket of his career this year.
