Detroit Lions wide receiver Kenny Golladay is expected to miss some time after suffering a hip injury in Sunday's 41-21 loss to the Indianapolis Colts, according to a report from NFL insider Ian Rapoport. Golladay is set to miss this week's game against the Minnesota Vikings and is considered week-to-week moving forward, but he'll undergo more tests.

Golladay made his way to the locker room late in the first half. The Lions officially ruled him out for the remainder of the game during the third quarter. Unfortunately, he had zero catches on four targets before exiting the game with his injury.

Golladay had been playing well in recent weeks. In fact, he had brought down 10 contested catches before suffering the hip injury, the third-most in the NFL.

In his five appearances with the Lions this season, Golladay has caught 20 passes for 338 yards and two touchdowns. In the Lions' Week 7 win over the Atlanta Falcons, the 26-year-old wideout caught six of his seven targets for a game-high 114 yards. As a testament to his importance to Detroit's offensive attack, he had 100 yards and/or one touchdown in all four games he played in before Sunday's loss to the Colts.

With Golladay likely ruled out for the foreseeable future, players like Danny Amendola and Marvin Jones Jr. will see an increased workload.

The Lions (3-4 overall) will be back in action on Sunday, when they'll travel to Minnesota for a matchup against the Vikings. Kick-off is set for 1:00 p.m. ET, with CBS having live broadcast coverage.
