There have been trade rumors swirling this offseason surrounding Detriot Lions quarterback Matthew Stafford. It could just be a coincidence, but there is going to be more chatter now with Stafford placing his $6.5 million house on the market.

Stafford has split time between California and Georgia this offseason. According to Dave Birkett of the Detroit Free Press, he could soon be out of his Detroit area home.

Stafford has been involved in trade rumors since the end of last season, but he said he is taking it all in stride, just focusing on things he can control.

“I really don’t pay too much attention to (the trade rumors),” Matthew Stafford said. “I pay less attention to them than my wife does. But it’s something that doesn’t bother me. Listen, I’m here, I want to be here. I love being a Detroit Lion, I love leading this team. all that kind of stuff is just out there to be out there. It's a slow news month at that point and I’m just happy to be where I am and ready to deal with this offseason the way that it is and try to make the best of the season that I hope happens.”

According to the home's listing, Stafford's home has lakefront property. The 1.27 acres include an indoor basketball court that is made from Detroit Pistons floor when they played on the Pontiac Silverdome. It also includes five fireplaces, a glass elevator, and the largest infinity pool in the state of Michigan.

Maybe it's just a coincidence, but it seems Stafford might be on his way out out of Detroit sooner rather than later. We'll see what the Lions do next.
