Just a day after the Champions League Final, Liverpool striker Sadio Mane announced that he'd like to leave the club this summer in search of a new journey. The one European giant who is heavily chasing his signature is Bayern Munich, who could be looking for a Robert Lewandowski replacement if the Pole gets his wish and moves on to Barcelona.

On Tuesday, Bayern made their second bid for Mane but Liverpool essentially laughed at the £30 million offer, claiming they won't accept any less than £40 million for the Senegalese international, per The Guardian's Andy Hunter.

Bayern put £25 million on the table initially and by no surprise, the Merseysiders just brushed it aside. Jurgen Klopp's squad clearly values Mane a lot and with another 12 months left on his current deal at Anfield, they're not going to let go of him for anything less than a pretty penny.

Mane has been a crucial part of Liverpool's success over the last six years, scoring 16 goals and tallying two assists this term in Premier League action. However, Mo Salah and Roberto Firmino are also heading into the final year of their respective deals, which means the Reds could be forced to negotiate some type of deal for Mane right now since he is keen on leaving.

Klopp wants to line up a replacement for the 30-year-old first though, with Benfica talisman Darwin Nunez high on their list. The Portuguese outfit value the Uruguayan at more than €100 million.
