Since selecting Lonzo Ball with the second overall pick in the 2017 NBA Draft last month, the Los Angeles Lakers have continued to shell out nothing but praise toward him.

During a recent interview with ESPN’s “The Lowe Post” with Zach Lowe, Lakers head coach Luke Walton gave his own glowing remark on Ball's unique passing ability.

“It's a simple thing,” Walton said. “But, like you said, when you're a wing player or you're a big man and you know if you run the floor, that ball's going to hit you, and he does it 100 percent of the time.

“We preach to our wings and our bigs to sprint that lane, sprint that lane. But when the ball's actually getting thrown to them, now they're more likely, now they want to get out there. Those are free points, free lay-ups for them,” Walton continued, adding that just watching it has some of Lonzo’s teammates pumped up to play with him.

The 19-year-old has put that on full display through the first five games of the Summer League, and has made numerous impressive passes that have only created a larger aura of hype around him.

What Walton is most anxious about is the potential positive impact on the rest of the team resulting in more effort all around on the offensive end both in the halfcourt and transition because of Ball's unselfishness and special court vision. This alone can become a contagious quality that could help create much more fluid play and efficiency on that end of the floor.

There is clearly plenty of promise and hope on the shoulders of Ball in his first season in the league that could set the table for what could be an exciting year in Los Angeles.
