The Madden 25 Reveal trailer released today, showing off next year's installment of the Madden NFL franchise. This year's Madden title comes with several improvements across a variety of modes. From an improved Franchise experience, to presentation and commentary updates, there's a lot we're curious to see this August. Therefore, we decided to dissect the trailer and jot down all of the relevant information below.

Everything You Might've Missed from the Madden 25 Reveal Trailer

EA Sports Released their Madden 25 Reveal Trailer, which showed several gameplay and presentation improvements to FieldSENSE, powered by BOOM Tech. This new physics-based tackling system will change how tackles feel on next-gen systems. However, this trailer (1:24 in duration) mentions plenty of other notable improvements:

Firstly, the trailer shows off the brand new kick-off rules we'll be seeing in 2024. Now, no player can begin running until the receiving team actually catches the ball. This will certainly change up kick-offs entirely. We're curious to see if players can exploit this feature and secure touchdowns every kick-off.

Secondly, EA Sports is adding new catch mechanics to Madden 25 which will hopefully create new and exciting moments. One thing that has plagued Madden titles over the years is watching a receiver drop a ball almost every time he makes contact with a defender. Hopefully, these new catching mechanics can also create more opportunities to make a safe and secure catch. We'll see more as time goes on.

Speaking of player movement and ability, Madden 25 will add more branching animation combos along with improved contextual reactions. Now, you'll have a bit more control after using special moves like Jukes, spins, or hurdles. And the improved reactions hopefully means more realistic player movement. When it comes to player movement, Madden 25 is adding new signature animations of some of the league's best players. You'll see more recognizable moves that reflect the players' real-life counterparts.

And the player won't just have more control but the CPU as well.  AI blocking Logic is receiving more upgrades in Madden 25. We personally liked how the improved AI blocking felt in Madden 24, but wouldn't mind seeing EA add more improvements to it.

In terms of presentation, Madden 25 seems to be making an effort to improve the authenticity of the game. These presentation improvements include:

  • Authentic rookie head scans
  • NFL Draft Night with Roger Goodell
  • New Commentary Teams
  • New Team Animations
  • Rebuilt Enironments
  • New Plays and Playbooks

Not mentioned in the trailer but worth noting is a new Team Builder mode coming to Franchise. This mode will let you create your own custom logos and uniforms as you join the NFL. Furthermore, Madden 25 will let you transfer your EA College Football 25 Road To Glory player. So in terms of presentation and authenticity, there's definitely an effort here to make something better than usual.

Lastly, the Madden 25 reveal trailer briefly flashed some other new improvements that we didn't quite get to see. These include:

  • Hot Route Updates for receivers
  • Coverage Shell Improvements
  • New Switch Stick
  • Online H2H Leaderboards
  • New Mini Games
  • Custom Pre-Play Stems

With EA College Football 25 also coming out this Summer, it seems EA wanted to pull out the big guns and really focus on Madden, too. While we're not sure if these changes will be enough to save the series from negative user reviews, we at least applaud EA Sports for attempting to use fan feedback. Here's to hoping that all this work pays off come August.

Overall, that includes everything we saw during the Madden 25 Reveal Trailer. However, there's plenty of more features we're interested to learn more about. From the new Team Builder Website and NFL Draft Night experience, Madden 25 seems to have some promising improvements. However, we're cautiously optimistic, considering our feelings on last year's title.
