The Golden State Warriors have cruised through this year's NBA playoffs with ease holding an unblemished 14-0 record that has led to a commanding 2-0 lead in the NBA Finals over the Cleveland Cavaliers.

This has once again started up the conversation as to where they rank against some of the greatest teams of all time. During a recent interview with American Express Teamed Up event, Hall of Famer Magic Johnson voiced that he believes his “Showtime” Los Angeles Lakers would not only beat the Warriors but sweep them in the process.

“We going win. We would probably sweep them. They are just too small.”

Although it's hard to compare to teams from different generations and playing styles, it would be an entertaining matchup between the two juggernauts. The Lakers in the 1980s featured two other Hall of Famers alongside Johnson in Kareem Abdul-Jabbar and James Worthy along with Byron Scott and Michael Cooper.

There would be mismatches on both ends of the floor as it would be difficult for either team to defend each other. Johnson's size alone would give Stephen Curry plenty of problems while Curry's dribbling ability would be a hard task to contain for the Hall of Famer.

Meanwhile, the Warriors would have no answer for covering Abdul-Jabbar with Draymond Green being the only reasonable option. The matchup between Kevin Durant and James Worthy would also be entertaining on both ends of the floor. There are just so many individual matchups that make it hard to truly dictate how that series would play out.

That said, the Warriors dominance in this year's playoffs certainly makes for an entertaining conversation about how they would fare against all-time great teams like the “Showtime” Lakers.
