Orlando Magic point guard Markelle Fultz put up a triple-double on Wednesday against LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers at Staples Center, a signature performance in what has been a great season for the former No. 1 overall pick.

Fultz's teammate, high-flyer Aaron Gordon, says this is only the beginning for the Magic's floor general:

“Oooh boy, ooooh boy. That boy is nice,” Aaron Gordon said about Markelle Fultz, via The Ringer. “He’s only gonna get better.”

Fultz, whose career got off to a rocky start with the Philadelphia 76ers, seems to have found a home with the Magic and everyone around the league, including Gordon, is happy for the youngster.

The Magic made a low-risk, high-reward-type of move last season when they traded for Fultz from the Sixers. So far, Fultz is playing well for the team.

While the release point of his jump shot looks low, Fultz is shooting the ball with more fluidity now and getting to the basket at will. He is averaging 11.7 points, 3.4 rebounds and 4.6 assists in 40 games this season while shooting 46.2 percent from the field, 26.5 percent from beyond the arc and 73.9 percent from the free-throw line.

The Magic exercised their fourth-year team option on Fultz for the 2020-21 season, a good sign that the franchise is invested in him.
