Jalen Suggs received nothing but love from the Orlando Magic as the franchise picked the 20-year-old as their fifth overall pick in the 2021 NBA Draft. Suggs was expected to be a top-three pick in this year's draft but when teams ended up skipping his name, no one was happier than Jalen as he was finally picked by the Magic.

“It means the world,” Suggs said (via Josh Robbins of The Athetlic). “Honestly, it makes me so excited to get there and give them my all. I'm going to do nothing less than that.

After making one of the biggest shots in recent NCAA history, the Gonzaga standout is hoping to make a splash as the newest member of the Magic. He is joining a renewed organization that made huge roster moves last season, letting go of Nikola Vucevic, Aaron Gordon, and Evan Fournier to try and acquire young building blocks for the franchise moving forward.

Suggs is joining a team with a new head coach in Jamahl Mosley as the versatile guard joins an array of young studs in the likes of Cole Anthony, Markelle Fultz, and Jonathan Isaac. Now that's a pretty solid core if you ask me. The Magic also added forward Franz Wagner as their eighth overall pick.

The former Bulldog is bringing a ton of toughness to Orlando. After leading a championship-caliber team like Gonzaga all the way to the NCAA Finals in his first and only season with the team, it's clear that Suggs is and has been NBA-ready.
