Orlando Magic third-year forward Jonathan Isaac is absolutely living up to all the hype surrounding him during the preseason. On Wedensday night, the 22-year-old stuffed the stat sheet, and was instrumental in Orlando's valiant effort against a resurgent Dallas Mavericks side.

While the Magic ended up losing the contest, 107-106, Isaac was still able to make history by putting up some outrageous numbers in 32 minutes of action.

That's some serious company right there, with Isaac joining an elite pair of Basketball Hall of Famers. The Magic youngster may not be in the same category as these two legends are right now, but judging by the potential he has shown of late, it would not be surprising if Isaac ends up becoming a top tier player in the NBA.

In eight appearances for the Magic thus far, Isaac is averaging 11.1 points (on 44.3 percent shooting), 7.0 rebounds, 1.8 assists, 1.6 steals, and a league-leading 3.0 blocks per ballgame — tied with no less than Los Angeles Lakers superstar Anthony Davis. Orlando's 6-foot-11 forward is also a competent shooter from distance, knocking down 1.4 treys per game on a 36.7-percent clip.

Isaac is currently attempting just 8.8 shots per game, which explains his rather modest scoring numbers. Nevertheless, the former sixth overall pick does so much more than scoring, as he functions as a do-it-all kind of guy for his squad.

Orlando has had a rough start to their season, though, going 2-6 in the first eight games of the new campaign. Isaac cannot be faulted for his efforts, however, and so long as he is able to keep up his outstanding play, then surely, the wins should start stacking up for the Magic sooner rather than later.
