It's been a good year for Orlando Magic big man Nikola Vucevic thus far, both on and off the court.

Not only is the center putting up All-Star numbers for the Magic, but he welcomed his first son to the world on Monday.

Nikola Vucevic has been one of the most underrated players in the NBA for years now, but he's finally starting to get some national recognition this season since the Magic are actually winning games for a change. Orlando enters Tuesday with a record of 14-15, seventh place in the Eastern Conference.

Vucevic is averaging 20.6 points, 11.7 rebounds and 3.7 assists per game for the Magic while shooting 53.5 percent from the field, 40.4 percent from beyond the arc and 84.0 percent from the free-throw line. The 28-year-old has 20 double-doubles on the year and one triple-double as well.

Vucevic becomes an unrestricted free agent after this season and is set up to get paid. The seven-year veteran figures to get a healthy raise from the $12.75 million he is earning this season. If you ask Vucevic, though, he will tell you that he is focused on getting Orlando to the postseason for the first time since 2012. Under new head coach Steve Clifford, the Magic have a top-10 defense.
