All-Star center Nikola Vucevic reportedly plans to commit to the Orlando Magic with a four-year, $100 million deal, per Shams Charania of The Athletic.

Vucevic averaged 20.8 points, 12.0 rebounds, 3.8 assists and 1.1 blocks per game in 2018-19. He made the All-Star team for the first time in his career and helped the Magic make it to the playoffs as the seventh seed in the Eastern Conference.

Vucevic's decision to stay in Orlando gives the team a chance to pick up where they left off last season. The Magic, however, are still expected to make several moves to improve their roster this free agency.

Orlando is fully committed to building a championship contending team around Vucevic and high-flying forward Aaron Gordon. It's already been a decade since the franchise made it to the NBA Finals, and they definitely want to be in that position again.

Last season, the Magic was already contemplating on breaking up their roster after their poor start. It even came to a point when veteran forward Evan Fournier said that if they fail to make the playoffs, it would be the last time that they would be together as a team. But behind Vucevic, Orlando started to rack up wins after the All-Star break and was able to squeak into the postseason.

Now they have a positive momentum going, they would certainly like to ride on that. Re-signing Vucevic was just the first step, and they are definitely on the right track.
