Philadelphia 76ers head coach Brett Brown always spoke highly of Markelle Fultz when the point guard was still with the Sixers. Even though Fultz was only able to play 33 games in Philly, Brown holds no ill will towards him and hopes the former No. 1 overall pick can jump-start his career with the Orlando Magic.

The Sixers traded Fultz to the Magic on Feb. 7. The 20-year-old is still rehabbing from thoracic outlet syndrome and there's a growing belief he won't play for the rest of the season. Brown is rooting for Fultz because he says the guard is a great human being.

There isn't anyone in the NBA who is not rooting for Markelle Fultz. He was such a special talent coming out of the University of Washington. It's sad to see what has happened with his shoulder, but hopefully his latest rehab regiment is going well and he can come back stronger than ever next season.

With the Sixers, Fultz averaged 7.7 points, 3.4 rebounds and 3.4 assists while shooting 41.4 percent from the field, 26.7 percent from beyond the arc and 53.4 percent from the free-throw line. The Maryland native only played 14 games during his rookie season due to scapular muscle imbalance in his right shoulder and then was diagnosed with thoracic outlet syndrome this season and shut down by his attorney/agent.
