Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp expressed his dislike to Cristiano Ronaldo’s Manchester United return.

Cristiano Ronaldo has shown what Manchester United is in for this season after netting a sensational brace in his second debut at Old Trafford on Saturday against Newcastle United.

However, not all are pleased with what they see, particularly Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp.

According to Klopp, he wasn’t really following Ronaldo’s transfer saga in Juventus so he was “surprised” when the Portugal captain decided to leave the club. Hence, he’s not happy that Ronaldo even chose to make a comeback at Manchester United.

“Am I happy that he is at United? No, I can't say that,” Klopp told Sky Sports of Ronaldo. “Yes [he’s too good a player], unfortunately.”

“I was surprised, not about [Manchester] United, him going in there in the end, but when I first heard the rumors about him wanting to leave Juventus,” he added. “I had no idea about that. I am not in the Juventus circle when people inform me from time to time about what is going on there, so I was surprised about that. He was going to [Manchester] City and I thought ‘oh, that could be fun for United' and then, obviously, United stepped in and did it.”

In the end, Klopp acknowledged the fact that clubs can do crazy things during transfer window. He also implied that he is up for the challenge of facing Cristiano Ronaldo, who is widely-regarded as one of the best players in the world.

“It's all fine,” the German concluded. “It's a free world and they can do what they want.”
