Leicester City manager Brendan Rodgers has lifted the lid on his team's victorious win over Manchester United.

It was another tough day for Manchester United as Leicester City rallied back to hand the Red Devils their second English Premier League loss this season.

Speaking after his team's stunning win, Foxes boss Brendan Rodgers pointed out that Manchester United's lack of intensity in its attack cost Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side its chance to outscore his squad.

“I thought we started well, their [Manchester United's] central players weren’t pressing so we could be patient and work the ball through the pitch, we got into some really good areas and put pressure on their backline,” Rodgers explained via Manchester Evening News.

Mason Greenwood scored the game's first goal, putting Manchester United on top on the 19th minute. Leicester's Youri Tielemans equalized on the 31st. It was still a close game until Leicester exploded in the final 12 minutes of the game and bagged three more goals, including the late strike from Patson Daka.

For Rodgers, his team could've score more on Manchester United as they were able to maintain their “aggression” and high level of “concentration” from the beginning of second half all the way to the final minute.

“It was just about reinforcing our aggression in the game, that’s when we’re at our best, once we’re pressing well and being that aggressive, in particular the second half we were very good,” the manager assessed. “We pressed well, and that takes the tempo up, allowing us to create opportunities.”

“We created opportunities, scored four, could have had some more, our concentration levels were high,” he added. “That was much more pleasing in terms of performance level.”
