Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is once again in the hot seat following a 2-0 defeat to Man City last weekend at Old Trafford. It was their second consecutive loss on home soil which means the pressure is piling up on the Norwegian.

That being said, the Red Devils are already looking ahead to who could replace Solskjaer if he's sacked. Leicester City manager Brendan Rodgers is currently the frontrunner to take the job and according to Manchester Evening News, the Irishman would be keen on leaving the King Power for the opportunity at Manchester United.

Rodgers currently has a release clause in his contract with the Foxes if they qualify for the Champions League, but United could activate in order to bring him in as their new boss. While the club board has continued to back Solskjaer, it's believed their patience is running thin as the negative results pile up. The Red Devils are a whole nine points off league leaders Chelsea through 11 matches.

Manchester United was looking at Antonio Conte as a possible hire, but he's since taken over at Tottenham after they canned Nuno Espirito Santo. Following the international break, United face Watford, Villarreal in Europe, then Chelsea. Those three games could make or break Solskjaer.
