Following the trade that sent him to the Boston Celtics, Marcus Morris is now looking forward to the opportunity to play for a contender and one of the most storied franchises in NBA history.

He even took to his Twitter account recently to let his followers know, as well as the Boston faithful, that he hopes to remain healthy throughout the course of next season, in order to contribute to the team’s cause and help them compete for the title.

Interestingly, the hashtag he used caught the attention of many as he may have just given himself a brand new nickname in the process.

The 27-year-old Kansas product was part of the deal that sent Avery Bradley to the Detroit Pistons to dump some money and create enough cap room for the signing of Gordon Hayward. He will provide the C's with more depth in their frontcourt rotation as he has the ability to play both forward positions. Morris spent the last two seasons in the Motor City, where he started in 159 games for the Pistons, and has career averages of 10.8 points, 4.2 rebounds, and 1.6 assists in 26.2 minutes per game.

The “Beantown Bully” could be the right moniker for him if he continues to play with an edge for the Celtics.
