Markelle Fultz is heading into his second NBA season after what many thought was an incredibly disappointing rookie year. After being drafted with the No. 1 overall pick by the Philadelphia 76ers, Fultz dealt with injuries and shooting struggles all season long. Now, the 76ers are hoping that Fultz can become a key part of their development from last season to this year.

Philadelphia played their first preseason game of the 2018-19 NBA season on Friday night. Unfortunately, Fultz ended up being put on the blooper reel after jumping for absolutely no reason during the middle of a play.

Take a look at the video:

Fultz did have a solid all-around game for the 76ers. He scored 14 points on 6-for-11 shooting and dished out four assists, while recording two steals and two blocks. Those numbers were a solid all-around look for the young point guard out of Washington.

Looking ahead at the upcoming season, the 76ers are in need of their young point guard figuring things out. If he can, he will be tough to stop alongside Ben Simmons and Joel Embiid.

Philadelphia is expected to be one of the top teams in the Eastern Conference. Boston is the team to beat, the 76ers are right behind them along with the Toronto Raptors and Indiana Pacers. Fultz' development is going to be a major key for the long-term future that the 76ers are trying to build.

All of that being said, Fultz still gave us a much-needed early blooper to start the season. Enjoy the preseason and enjoy the roughness of the game and bloopers that come with preseason play.
