Dallas Mavericks power forward Kristaps Porzingis sit out the team's game against the Charlotte Hornets on Saturday. It was the second game Porzingis joined second-year superstar Luka Donic and starting center Dwight Powell on the Mavs' injury list.

The Mavs have four back-to-back remaining this season and while Dallas head coach Rick Carlisle won't confirm anything, Porzingis' health is something they will have to monitor in the future.

“Caution. Not to say this is going to be a definite every time. But right now, this is what we’re doing,” Carlisle said on KP, per Eddie Sefko of Mavs.com.

Previous injuries have already caused the Latvian big man to miss 12 games and a recent nose injury just adds to an ever-growing list of concerns.

This season, the 7-foot-3 power forward is averaging 18.0 points, a career-high 9.1 rebounds and 1.9 blocks per game while shooting 40.9 percent from the field and 35.0 percent from deep.

With Doncic out, Porzingis has been asked to carry more of the scoring load for the Mavs – a request he has obliged.

In his last four games, Porzingis has scored 32 or more points in three contests while also averaging 11.3 rebounds over that same stretch.

The Mavs currently sit in seventh place in the Western Conference with a 32-21 record, having won their latest game against the Hornets. However, Dallas has dropped big time in the conference standings as of late after losing four of their previous six games before Saturday.

With both Luka Doncic and Kristaps Porzingis healthy, Dallas is viewed as a major darkhorse team in the West and should get back to full health soon.
