Dirk Nowitzki has become of the most beloved stars in the league, even by his fellow peers — so it wasn't surprising to see one of the most prominent ones in LeBron James chime in on his epic fail of a dunk attempt during the NBA Africa Game on Saturday morning.
The Dallas Mavericks' icon was playing a warmup game of H-O-R-S-E with Rondae Hollis-Jefferson and New York Knicks' unicorn Kristaps Porzingis. The latter threw down a one-handed tomahawk off-the-glass, a feat which Hollis-Jefferson blew immediately after and so did Nowitzki — looking like a wanna-be-dunker in middle school.

The German international comically excused himself following the taped blunder.

James wasn't shy about trolling the 39-year-old, who was never known for his hops as German beers are.
😂😂😂😂!! Bring out the hops @swish41!! Matter fact save them when the cameras aren't around. #DirkWithTheBounce https://t.co/LSqxuDaI4p
