Dallas Mavericks power forward Kristaps Porzingis is the first player in NBA history to record more than 300 3-pointers and 400 blocks in fewer than 200 games in his career.

The 24-year-old Latvian big man joined the Mavs last January in a blockbuster trade with the New York Knicks. The Big Apple franchise sent their one-time All-Star, who was sidelined the entire season with an ACL tear, to Dallas for Dennis Smith Jr., DeAndre Jordan, Wesley Matthews and two future first-round picks.

Kristaps Porzingis did not appear in a Mavs uniform for the rest of the 2018-19 season but returned to the hardwood and made his debut for Big D last month.

Despite Porzingis' early-career accomplishment — given his characteristic shot-blocking prowess coupled with long range from 3-point distance — the seven-footer has not played completely impressive in his brief Mavs career so far, only averaging 18.2 points and 9.0 rebounds in 31.4 minutes per game while shooting 40.1 percent from the field and 35.4 percent from deep.

It's worth noting that KP is returning from a year off the court, however. So far, it has been the Luka Doncic show for the Mavs, as the 20-year-old Slovenian prodigy is averaging nearly a triple-double in his second year — one season removed from his Rookie of the Year campaign in 2018-19.

Dallas has bet it all that the Doncic-Porzingis Euro connection will work out big, although it looks like Doncic on his own is on his way to superstardom.

The Mavs are off to a solid start at 9-5. They host the Cleveland Cavaliers on Friday night in KP's 200th career game.
