Dallas Mavericks big man Kristaps Porzingis is listed as questionable for his team's game against the Golden State Warriors on Tuesday night, according to Tim MacMahon of ESPN.com. MacMahon adds that it's more likely that Porzingis will return when the Mavs face off against the Sacramento Kings on Wednesday.

Porzingis has been sidelined since the end of last month due to knee issues and recently had a PRP injection in his right knee.

The good news is that this is not the same knee in which Porzingis tore his ACL two years ago. However, this is now the second knee issue that Porzingis has had in his young NBA career, so it's obviously a concern either way.

In the 31 games that Porzingis has played this season, he is averaging 17.3 points, 9.4 rebounds and 2.1 blocks over 31.2 minutes per game while shooting 40.3 percent from the floor, 34.3 percent from 3-point range and 72.5 percent from the free-throw line.

While his efficiency leaves a whole lot to be desired thus far, the 24-year-old has improved significantly as a rebounder, and his impact on the defensive end is palpable when he is on the floor.

Also, Porzingis deserves some leeway for his shaky offensive play through the first few months of the season, as he missed a year and a half after suffering his ACL tear in February 2018.

The Mavs acquired the Latvian in a trade with the New York Knicks last January.

Porzingis, who was taken fourth overall by the Knicks in 2015, owns career averages of 17.7 points, 7.4 rebounds and 2.0 blocks across 31 minutes a night.
