For Dallas Mavericks forward Kristaps Porzingis, things are just going to get better for the Mavs as they start to gel and develop their chemistry.

Per Callie Caplan of The Dallas Morning News, Porzingis observed that the team is at the getting-to-know stage at this point in the season. Long term, the Latvian believes that the team has a ton of potential together.

“We’re playing based off our talent. We’re now getting to know each other a little better on the court, getting a feel for each other just now, 20 games in. … We’re only going to get better. We have so much room to grow as a group,” Porzingis said on the team's chemistry.

KP's comments came in after the Mavs pulled off a 121-114 victory over the Minnesota Timberwolves on Wednesday. It marked their fourth consecutive win for a 15-6 record, which firmly places them at fourth in the Western Conference.

On their relatively impressive record, Porzingis reiterated that the Mavs' goal this year is to make the playoffs. However, they won't limit themselves to just that goal once they believe that they can achieve more.

“Our goal is to make the playoffs. That’s what we’ve got to keep in mind, but at the same time, we want to win as many games as possible,” Porzingis furthered. “And that’s it. We’ve just got to keep working, keep this thing going, and we’ll see how far we can get.”

The Mavs have a chance to extend their streak to five games when they face the New Orleans Pelicans on Saturday.
