LeBron James and Dirk Nowitzki were clearly ticked off by the “bogus” ejection of Dallas Mavericks star Kristaps Porzingis against the Los Angeles Clippers on Monday.

The Mavs suffered a huge blow in Game 1 of their Western Conference first-round match-up against the Clippers after Porzingis was thrown out of the game in the third quarter.

The 7-foot-3 Latvian came to the defense of his Mavs teammate Luka Doncic after the Slovenian star figured in a brief altercation with Clippers forward Marcus Morris.

Following a heated shoving match with Morris, both players were assessed with technical fouls. Porzingis, however, was already T’d up prior to that incident and was automatically ejected after getting his second one.

The Unicorn received a technical in the first quarter after he punched the air in disgust after arguing a call.

Porzingis was clearly just showing some emotion in the first one while trying to defend his teammate in the second incident.

Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James quickly aired his disgust following the call on the Mavs star.

Mavs legend Dirk Nowitzki also chimed in, claiming the call was “super soft.”

The Mavericks, meanwhile, carried all the momentum before Kristaps Porzingis’ ejection and were actually ahead on the scoreboard. They shrugged off an ugly start thanks in large part to KP’s fine play.

The one-time All-Star had 14 points (3-of-9 FG and 1-of-4 from downtown) along with six boards, one assist, and one block in 20 minutes of play for the Mavs prior to the ejection.

This also marks Porzingis’ first career ejection, which just so happened in his first career playoff game. The NBA will likely review this incident given its controversial nature.
