Dallas Mavericks superstar Luka Doncic suffered what appears to be an ankle injury in Game 3 of the Mavs' first-round playoff series against the Los Angeles Clippers.

Late in the third quarter of the game, Luka was guarding Kawhi Leonard when he tweaked his ankle. His legs appeared to bump on Leonard, leading to the injury.

The Slovenian Wonderboy immediately went to the locker room, hobbling and clearly struggling in pain.

According to the latest update from the Mavs, Luka Doncic sustained a left ankle sprain. He eventually returned and started in the fourth quarter, though it was only for a brief moment as he eventually exited the game for good.

It looks like the Mavs dodged a bullet with the issue, especially since Luka was still able to return. Although he struggled running, it's a good thing to note that the injury doesn't seem to be too serious. Doncic finished the game with a triple double of 13 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists.

The Mavs cannot afford to lose their best player at this time of the season. If Rick Carlisle and Co. want any chance to upset the Clippers in the series, they will need Luka to be at 100 percent night in and night out.
