The Dallas Mavericks are in the midst of a heated Game 2 against the Golden State Warriors in the Western Conference Finals. The Mavs came out firing in the first half and had a substantial lead heading into the tunnel, with the rotation thriving in every way imaginable, especially Luka Doncic and Jalen Brunson.

In fact, the Mavs reached an impressive first-half feat that was only previously done by CJ McCollum and Damian Lillard during their time on the Portland Trail Blazers together.

Only the second time in 25 years this has been done. Talk about dominant. Having both of your starters with 20 points or more by halftime is always going to put you in a good position to win. As a whole, the Mavs drained 15 threes within the first two quarters. Lights out.

Doncic and Brunson will need to keep playing at an extremely high level if the Mavs are going to pull off the unthinkable and knock off the Dubs. It won't be easy, but no team has an answer for Doncic's ability to take over. It's just a matter of him being consistent enough. As for Brunson, his ability to get it going from mid-range with a tremendous handle and top-tier footwork will be crucial.
