The conspiracy theorists who believe the Earth is flat have a new follower. While Kyrie Irving is the undisputed king of the flat Earth crew, Dallas Mavericks rookie Luka Doncic looks to be their newest member. In an impromptu interview with Mavs summer league player Mitchell Creek, Doncic was asked whether he believed the Earth was flat or round.

Doncic thinks about it for a moment but he admits the truth. Doncic says:

“I'll go with Kyrie. I'll say flat.”

But Doncic delivers his answer with a wry smile. You can almost see Doncic deliver his answer with his tongue in cheek. Irving's flat earth theory is one of the ongoing jokes in the NBA, in part because of how utterly ridiculous it is.

It's at the point where it's a running gag amongst NBA players to say that they believe the Earth is flat. But in reality, there's really only one NBA player who truly believes such thing.

In fact, Doncic hails from nearly halfway across the world in Slovenia. In his travels from Europe to America, he never fell off the face of the Earth. Perhaps Kyrie should take a trip overseas with Doncic to see that at no point, does the Earth ever end. It's round.

The 19-year-old Slovenian's personality is showing a little bit in this video. The smile and the tongue in cheek response are refreshing to see from the young rookie. Obviously, this isn't a real interview, but it's nice to see young players willing to show off their humorous side.
