Luka Doncic and the Dallas Mavericks snapped a two-game losing skid in style. Following their back-to-back losses to the Washington Wizards and the Cleveland Cavaliers — both at home — the Mavs vented all their frustrations on the hapless New Orleans Pelicans Wednesday night, scoring a 139-107 road victory.

The Mavs almost did nothing wrong in the entire game. Dallas shot so well, the team made history.

Via ESPN Stats & Info:

Last night, the Mavericks shot 79.6% on 2-pointers, the 3rd-highest in a game in the shot-clock era (since1954-55). They also shot 68.7% from the field, their best in a game in franchise history.

Here's another one from Justin Kubatko:

The @dallasmavs were 🔥 last night:

🎯 39-49 2P (79.6%)
🎯 18-34 3P (52.9%)
🎯 57-83 FG (68.7%)
🎯 79.5 eFG%

They recorded the highest eFG% by a team in a game in NBA history. They also recorded the third-highest 2P% by a team in a game in NBA history.

It was an insane shooting performance for the Mavs, to say the least. The NBA has seen numerous elite offenses in history, but posting at least a 79.5 eFG% had never been achieved until the Mavs shot like a team possessed against New Orleans.

Doncic led the way for the Mavs with 28 points on 11-of-16 shooting from the field.  The bench also greatly helped Dallas reach that historic statistical mark, as almost everyone pulled by head coach Jason Kidd made at least half of their shots. Had it not for Kristaps Porzingis shooting 1-of-6 from deep, the Mavs would have posted an even crazier effective field goal percentage.
