Dallas Mavericks superstar Luka Doncic came out with a tremendous performance to open his postseason account as his Mavs took down the Los Angeles Clippers in Game 1 of their first-round matchup. Doncic produced an epic triple-double which allowed him to make a bit of history on the evening.

Doncic dominated the Clippers and they pretty much had no answer for him all night long. This also happened to be Luka's third triple-double in the playoffs in just seven games:

Needless to say, Doncic knows how to step it up when it matters most. The Mavs star brought his A-Game against LA on Saturday, and it resulted in an upset victory for an underdog Dallas side.

This is an undeniably huge win for the Mavs as they draw first blood in a series that is not short of intriguing narratives. Nevertheless, Luka will be the first one to tell you that the job is far from over. These two teams face off again on Tuesday in Game 2, which will be a must-win game for the fourth-seeded Clippers. Another win for Dallas, on the other hand, would put give them a significant advantage.
