The Dallas Mavericks are likely to be with Luka Doncic for Thursday's game against the Brooklyn Nets, though his teammates Kristaps Porzingis has been downgraded to miss the game, according to ESPN's Tim MacMahon.

Doncic suffered a right thigh contusion against the Oklahoma City Thunder on Tuesday, but the left wrist sprain and back contusion he suffered Sunday against the Los Angeles Lakers are not listed on the official injury report.

Porzingis is set to miss his second consecutive game with right knee soreness after being a late scratch before Tuesday's loss in Oklahoma City.

The Mavs have now lost two in a row and look to get back on track against a Nets team that has dealt with struggles of its own. They lost three straight games before the turn of the calendar. Much of Brooklyn's offense has relied on the efforts of point guard Spencer Dinwiddie, who has admirably shouldered the load for an injured Kyrie Irving.

Irving continues to sit out with a shoulder injury that hasn't shown any major progress and the Nets (16-16) are only hanging on to their playoff hopes at the moment in seventh place in the east. Expectations were lower for them this season, with new free-agent signee Kevin Durant out for the year with a torn Achilles, but they still hoped to build on last year's playoff appearance.

The Mavs, on the other hand, have done well without Doncic and should have enough bodies to shake off their short losing skid against a struggling Nets team. Dallas sports the best point differential in the Western Conference (plus-7.5) and the third-best in the league after the Milwaukee Bucks and the Boston Celtics.

Doncic is coming off a 35-point, 10-rebound, seven-assist effort against the Thunder and should pick back up where he left off, even without Porzingis in the lineup.
