Dallas Mavericks star Luka Doncic is unsure about what to feel after passing Michael Jordan's record for most consecutive 20-5-5 games.

Per Callie Caplan of the Dallas Morning News, the Mavs youngster was a little overwhelmed by the record. It's not just because of the countless statistical records broken every single season, but being mentioned in the same sentence as Michael Jordan is too staggering — especially for a 20-year-old.

“I mean, I don’t know. It’s a lot of stats going on. I think it’s a little bit too much stats. You can’t compare nobody to Michael Jordan. He’s one of a kind. Those are just stats,” Doncic said.

Luka Doncic now has 19 straight games with at least 20 points, five rebounds and five assists. He eclipsed Jordan's record on Sunday against the Sacramento Kings, as he dropped 27 points, seven rebounds and eight assists in the Mavs' loss.

The Slovenian wunderkind's comments certainly reveal some insight into how he views the game. Fans and critics are interested in the numbers their favorite players put up day in and day out.

However, for players — especially the great ones like Doncic — what matters is the victory. The points, rebounds and assists they log in every day are always aimed towards that one single objective every game night. This is what Doncic is all about. This is what Jordan was all about, too.
