Many fans on Twitter noticed Dallas Mavericks star Luka Doncic's added heft when he appeared in the team's second preseason game against the Milwaukee Bucks.

The 21-year-old admitted that he isn't in the best shape right now, but he also took the social media comments rather lightly. He insists he'll be just fine as he rounds into shape:

Luka Doncic played 13 minutes in the Mavs' preseason opener against the Bucks and tallied 13 points, two rebounds, and four assists in a 112-102 victory.

The Slovenian native then stepped his game up a notch in the following game against the same opponent, generating 27 points, eight boards, and four dimes in 29 minutes. He also found help in his new backcourt partner in Josh Richardson, who balled out with 23 points and seven rebounds of his own.

Doncic and the rest of the Mavs were able to fend off another double-double performance from Giannis Antetokounmpo, who tallied 24 points and 14 rebounds in the game. The Dallas-based squad ultimately cruised to a 128-112 triumph for a 2-0 preseason record.

Despite being called out for not being in game shape, Luka Doncic showed that he hasn't lost a step and can still take the next leap heading into his third campaign in the league. Fans can expect him to be in better playing condition once the season progresses, and he's already getting plenty of MVP hype after an incredible Year 2.

The Mavs will face the Minnesota Timberwolves for their final preseason assignment before visiting the Phoenix Suns for their regular-season opener on Dec. 23.
