Dallas Mavericks star Luka Doncic is confirmed to suffer from a calf strain. However, as it currently stands, there is still no timetable for his return and it's uncertain if he'll be available for the Mavs in Game 1 of their first-round playoffs series with the Utah Jazz.

In a bit of a good news for Mavs fans, though, Doncic was spotted on Wednesday doing some work on the exercise bike. It is uncertain if he's no longer using a walking boot after he was spotted wearing one on Tuesday, but his latest activity is a good sign that his injury is not serious (via Tim MacMahon of ESPN).

As physical therapy expert Dr. Rajpal Brar commented on the tweet, there isn't much burden on the calf when biking, so it isn't any indication that Luka Doncic has already recovered. Nonetheless, it is still a good sign since it could mean the injury is not too severe.

“Not much calf loading during biking especially with lower resistance but still a good sign. Can still see the compression on as well. Based on him being this visible (treatment yesterday near court and then bike today), this seems like a grade 1,” Brar noted.

It remains to be seen what will happen to Luka since the Mavs are withholding as much information as they can, only mentioning that his status is to be determined. Veteran guard Spencer Dinwiddie noted recently that they haven't gotten any indication that the Slovenian playmaker will be out and they are preparing as if he'll play, but until Dallas confirms it, fans better not get their hopes up.
