Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban couldn't believe the news that the NBA was suspending the season after Utah Jazz center Rudy Gobert tested positive for the coronavirus.
On Wednesday, the Oklahoma City Thunder-Utah Jazz game was postponed after reports surfaced that Gobert tested positive for COVID-19. In response, the league immediately announced the suspension of the rest of the season as they gather again to find a feasible solution for the ongoing crisis.
Cuban had a rather insane reaction regarding the news about the suspension. Talking to ESPN during the Mavs' game against the Denver Nuggets, he went on to say that it felt like he was in a movie when he saw the alert on his phone.
"This is crazy. This can't be true. … It seemed more like out of a movie than reality."

The Mavs owner, though, emphasized that he does plan to help out the people working at Dallas' home court on an hourly basis.
Mark Cuban just mentioned “the people who work here on an hourly basis” and without prompting or questioning immediately said, “well put something together for them”.
Take note NBA owners.

One reason Cuban is down about the season being suspended is because his Mavs were on their way to making the playoffs again. Dallas hasn't been to the postseason since 2016.
Basketball fans were also excited to watch Luka Doncic and Kristaps Porzingis on the NBA's biggest stage. Now, they will probably have to wait until the next steps that the NBA will take amid the ongoing coronavirus crisis.
The season will likely be suspended for at least a month before any next steps can be taken. The 2020 NBA playoffs were supposed to begin on April 18.
