Washington Wizards point guard Russell Westbrook gifted Dallas Mavericks superstar Luka Doncic his jersey after the thrilling game between both teams on Saturday.

Westbrook wrote “keep being a killa” on the jersey, which the Mavs star posted on his Instagram story on Sunday.

It was a showdown between Russell Westbrook and Luka Doncic, who were both spectacular for their teams on Saturday. Doncic ended up with the bragging rights at the end of the game, as Bradley Beal couldn’t convert to win the game for the Wizards. Washington was in the game in the first place because of Westbrook’s 42 points, 10 rebounds and nine assists. Doncic ended the game with 31 points, 12 rebounds and a remarkable 20 assists for the Mavs.

The way Westbrook serves his teammates could be compared to Doncic’ style of play. Both love to make plays, score at their own will and rebound the basketball. They’re both great all-around players. Westbrook is currently second in career triple doubles (117), while Doncic–in just his third year in the NBA with the Mavs–already ranks 11th.

Doncic and the Mavericks hope to avoid the play-in tournament, so they must win every game in their relatively easy schedule from now on. The Wizards, meanwhile, are doing their best to climb the Eastern Conference standings to make it to the play-in for a shot at a postseason berth.

As for Westbrook and Doncic, the former won an MVP because of how consistently he put up triple doubles last 2017. With how Doncic is playing right now, there’s a great chance that he can perhaps win the same award one day and maybe even become the face of the league.
