Dallas Mavericks guard Seth Curry had an “I told you so” moment after the NBA confirmed that the referees missed a crucial foul that could have given the Mavs the win on Friday's contest against the Los Angeles Lakers.

The Lakers beat the Mavs in overtime, 119-100, in what turned out to be a tightly contested affair. Danny Green hit a crucial 3-pointer at the end of regulation time to force the extra period, and the Purple and Gold just dominated from there.

However, Dallas could have won the game had the referees called for a foul on Dwight Howard. Based on the video replays, it was clear Howard grabbed and held Seth Curry, who was actually on his way to guarding Green in the final play that extended the game. Had it been called correctly, the Mavs would have gained possession with less than five seconds remaining.

The league has since confirmed in its Last 2 Minute report that Howard indeed fouled Curry. Unsurprisingly, Seth is not happy with it and took it to Twitter to react to the league's latest finding.

The Mavs have every reason to be disappointed. After their controversial defeat to the Portland Trail Blazers in the previous week, they found themselves in the wrong end of officiating again.

Dallas dropped to 3-2 after the defeat. Meanwhile, the Lakers improved to 4-1 on their way to the top of the Western Conference standings.
