The Dallas Mavericks have been one of the main surprise teams in the NBA this season. A key reason for that has been the individual excellence of Luka Doncic. As a result, the Mavs' former sneaker free agent was a hot commodity among shoe companies before agreeing to a multi-year endorsement deal with Jordan Brand.
The final terms of the agreement between Doncic and Jordan Brand have yet to be released. However, a joint report by CNBC's Elly Cosgrove and Jabari Young stated that both sides agreed to a ‘five-year, seven-figure deal.'
Doncic grew up idolizing Michael Jordan and that surely had an impact in the decision-making process when it came down to it.
So far this season, Doncic has solidified himself as a legitimate MVP candidate at just 20-years-old with averages of 29.3 points, 9.6 rebounds, and 8.9 assists. He is also the main playmaker on the NBA's most productive offense, too.
