For starters, Luka Doncic is not a rookie. Well, the Dallas Mavericks phenom is technically a first-year NBA player, but he already had loads of professional experience before donning a Mavs jersey. Detroit Pistons center Andre Drummond had to learn that the hard way.

As both teams head to a timeout late in the game, Drummond decided to give Doncic a sneaky bump. But given the Pistons center's gargantuan frame, a slight bump from him is easily a full tackle from an ordinary guy. However, the Slovenian is no ordinary person.

Luka Doncic responded to Drummond's shady tactic like no other youngster can, draining a dagger fadeaway to out the Mavs comfortably ahead by seven points with 1:19 remaining in the game.

The Mavs rode Doncic's hot hands all night long. Fueled by the frustrations of millions of fans who voted for him to become an All-Star starter, Luka Doncic delivered a superb, well-rounded performance with 32 points, eight rebounds, eight assists, two steals, and one block.

For his part, Andre Drummond also fared well after missing a few games due to a nasal injury. The seven-footer posted 23 points, 15 rebounds, and three steals to complement Blake Griffin's 35 markers.

The Mavs won by a final score of 106-101, lifting their record to 22-26.
