The ladies of the Phoenix Mercury channeled their inner “hot girl” last night when they joined Megan Thee Stallion on stage during her Hot Girl Summer Tour. The tour featuring Memphis rapper Gorilla stopped in the “Valley of the Sun” to perform at the Footprint Center in Phoenix.

Players who attended last night’s show included Brittney Griner, Sophia Cunningham, and Natasha Cloud. Cloud and the rest of the players even invited Megan to one of their games once she’s done with the tour. She excitedly accepted and invited them on stage to take videos and pictures. The players are currently on a four-day break until their next game this coming Saturday against the Minnesota Lynx.

This isn’t the first time Megan and Glorilla have shown love to the ladies of the WNBA. Chicago Sky rookie Angel Reese joined them on stage during the tour’s stop in the Windy Cindy back in May. During media day, Reese mentioned that Megan was a celebrity that she still wanted to meet, and her wish finally came true. Megan and Glorilla invited Reese and the rest of the Sky team on stage, just like the Mercury players.

The Hot Girl Summer Tour has four more cities in North America before they head over for the European leg of the tour. Megan and Glorilla have been adamant about their tour being a fun and safe space for everyone. The highly anticipated tour has been very successful, as it has sold out 13 arenas across the country despite skepticism from critics.

One of the biggest highlights of the tour has been the various special guests that have made appearances. Special guests have included rappers such as Mona Leo, Big Boogie, Paul Wall, Bun B, and Slim Thug. Fans also loved when Megan showcased her majorette-inspired dance to her hit song Cognac Queen. Megan briefly attended Prairie View A&M, where she danced with Panther Dolls, before transferring and graduating from Texas Southern in 2021.

The Phoenix Mercury are currently 6th in the WNBA Western Conference with eight wins and seven losses so far this season. You can catch their next game this Saturday at 5 p.m. on Fubu or YouTube Primetime.
