With a Michigan Wolverines College Football Playoff game scheduled against the Georgia Bulldogs, the eyes of the college football world will be tuned in to see the two 12-1 squads go head-to-head. Ahead of the Michigan-Georgia game, we'll be making our Michigan College Football Playoff predictions.

Michigan proved that they're one of the best teams in the nation with what they achieved right before the College Football Playoff. Jim Harbaugh's Wolverines defeated the Ohio State Buckeyes in the Big Ten Championship game to secure their spot in the Orange Bowl. Led by over 150 yards and five touchdowns from running back Hassan Haskins, the Wolverines rolled to one of the biggest victories in program history.

After their impressive win over the rival Ohio State, Michigan will set their sights on Georgia, one of the more balanced teams in the nation. The Bulldogs own a top-five defense against both the pass and the run, as well as an offense that ranks seventh in the nation in points per game. Look for Michigan to lean on their run game and defense as they defeat the talented Bulldogs.

If victorious, Michigan can give themselves a chance to win their first national championship since 1997. With that in mind, let's move on to our Michigan College Football Playoff predictions.

4. Cade McNamara will throw for less than 200 yards for a third straight game

Michigan Wolverines quarterback Cade McNamara had a solid season, throwing for 2,470 yards with 15 touchdowns and four interceptions. McNamara is more of a game manager, which plays into the hands of Harbaugh and company, who clearly want to be run-first team, as evidenced by their 548 rushing attempts compared to 359 passing attempts. McNamara may throw for a touchdown or two, but he will have a quiet game for the third straight week- and Michigan will win again.

3. Michigan will have not one, but two 100-yard rushers in Hassan Haskins and Blake Corum

The Michigan Wolverines' identity on offense has been simple this season. Run the ball down the other team's throat. The Wolverines have done it better than almost any team in the nation, as they've ran for 223.8 rushing yards per game, 10th most in the nation. Michigan's rushing attack is a two-headed one, with bruiser Hassan Haskins, who ran for over 1,200 rushing yards and 20 touchdowns this year, the lead back, and the shiftier Blake Corum backing him up. This is a strength-on-strength matchup, as Georgia has allowed just 81.7 rushing yards per game, third fewest in the nation. However, Michigan will bully Georgia with their ground game en route to over 100 yards rushing for both Haskins and Corum.

2. Daxton Hill will play and will leave his mark on the game

Michigan safety Daxton Hill, listed by Harbaugh as a gametime decision, will not only suit up for the Wolverines but will play a huge role in their victory. Hill placed in the top-two of all Michigan defenders in tackles, passes defended, and interceptions while taking home All-Big Ten honors. Hill will show the nation- and NFL draft scouts- what he's capable of with a big-time performance against Georgia. The sophomore defensive back will total 10-plus tackles and have an interception in a big Orange Bowl win for the Wolverines.

1. Aidan Hutchinson and David Ojabo will terrorize the Bulldogs

Wolverines star Aidan Hutchinson, who finished second in the Heisman Trophy voting, is one of the best defenders in the nation, as evidenced by his 14 sacks. Teammate David Ojabo has also been a presence for Michigan's front, as he has registered 11 sacks of his own. Georgia possesses perhaps the nation's best pass-blocking offensive line but they will have their hands full against Hutchinson, who is in the conversation for the NFL's number-one pick, and Ojabo, who should not be overlooked. The Bulldogs have allowed just 11 sacks all season- Hutchinson and Ojabo will combine for half that total in a College Football Playoff win over Georgia.
