Miles College, one of the top teams in the SIAC this season, entered this matchup with high hopes of continuing their winning streak against Allen University. However, the game took an unexpected turn as Allen took a commanding 14-0 lead by halftime, giving the Golden Bears a run for their money.
In the second half, the Miles defense stepped up their game, forcing turnovers and providing excellent field position for their offense. They capitalized on these opportunities, scoring 21 points off turnovers. The unit recorded 4 takeaways and 3 sacks, establishing themselves as one of the top defenses in the SIAC conference.
Wide receiver Travaunta Abner and Quarterback Edwin Kleinpeter Jr played crucial roles in the comeback victory on the offensive end.
